PDA to Sell Residential and Commercial Plots, Farmers from 25 Villages to Get Four Times Higher Compensation for Land Acquisition

Prayagraj, March 6, 2026: The Prayagraj Development Authority will prepare a land bank of approximately 3,000 hectares to develop residential schemes in Jhunsi, Naini, and Jhalwa. For this purpose, land will be acquired from farmers in 25 villages, involving over 5,000 cultivators who will receive four times the compensation for their land .

Jhunsi Development

For developing residential schemes in the Jhunsi area across the Ganga, negotiations are underway with 500 farmers for 1,000 bighas of land across three villages. Farmers will receive four times the compensation .

Aero City on Airport Road

PDA plans to develop Aero City on Airport Road towards Jhalwa, for which approximately 800 hectares of land will be acquired. Officials have identified the land, and negotiations are ongoing with over 200 farmers .

Naini Land Acquisition

Towards Naini, PDA will purchase Army land in Iradatganj for residential schemes. The authority will acquire 478 hectares of land in Iradatganj, with talks for this land in the final stages. Additionally, approximately 500 hectares will be acquired from farmers in about eight surrounding villages .

PDA Vice Chairman Rishi Raj Upadhyay stated that the authority will acquire land at three different locations in Prayagraj. Land will be purchased from farmers in over two dozen villages. The process of land acquisition towards Jhunsi and Naini has already begun. PDA will acquire approximately 3,000 hectares of land in the next financial year to create a land bank .
