Noida, March 16, 2026: The registration department is set to introduce iris scan facility soon for property registrations. If there is any problem with fingerprint Aadhaar verification, there will be no trouble or hindrance in registration .

Solution to Fingerprint Problems

According to information, in about 10 percent of cases during daily registrations at Noida's sub-registrar offices, fingerprints of elderly people or others are not properly readable. Due to wear and tear, marks, dryness, or age, the scanner is unable to capture fingerprints. In such situations, the department is forced to ask for other ID proofs, causing delays in the process and inconvenience to people .

How Iris Scan Works

With the iris recognition system, the retina pattern will be scanned. This system is much faster and more reliable than fingerprints. Once scanned, Aadhaar will be linked and the registration process will be completed without any interruption. The person's retina will be scanned and Aadhaar of those doing or getting registration done will be verified .

This system could be started this month itself .

AIG Registration Arun Kumar Sharma stated that as soon as resources are received, this system will be implemented. Its objective is not just to provide convenience, but to make the registration process more transparent and faster .
