Jakson Infra Wins USD 62.22 Million Angola Power Distribution Contract

New Delhi, May 2: Jakson Infra has secured a power distribution contract from Angola's Ministry of Energy and Water under the World Bank-backed Electricity Sector Improvement and Access Project (ESIAP). The contract is valued at USD 62.22 million, according to a company statement.
The scope of the project includes design, supply, installation and commissioning work for the rehabilitation of distribution networks in Luanda. The work is expected to improve electricity reliability and expand access across the capital city, where infrastructure upgrades are part of ongoing reforms in the energy sector.
Project Scope
The project involves complete execution, including engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of distribution systems. It is aligned with Angola's broader efforts to modernise its energy infrastructure and increase electricity coverage, especially in urban centres.
Official Statement
Managing Director Raghav Gupta stated that the company felt honoured by the trust placed in it by the Angolan ministry and the World Bank, adding that the project strengthens its ability to deliver complex and large-scale power infrastructure works.
He also noted that the contract supports Jakson Infra's position as a reliable partner for globally funded infrastructure initiatives.
