Ghaziabad, April 2: People planning to build homes in Ghaziabad will now have to pay more as the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has increased map approval fees from the new financial year.

Fee Hike Details

The map approval fee has been increased by approximately 5 per cent under the cost index. This increase directly impacts the common citizen's pocket.

For example: Where earlier the fee for map approval was ₹100, the same fee has now increased to ₹105.

Mandatory Approval

It is mandatory to get map approval from the authority for construction on plots in GDA-approved schemes. Fees are charged for various items including the approval fee. Under the new order, these fees have been increased.

Official Statement

Pradeep Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary of GDA, stated that this increase is completely in accordance with regulations and has been done based on the cost index.
