Pay by May 31, Avail Property Tax Rebate: Chandigarh Civic Body Urges Residents
With an aim to get maximum revenue in the first two months of the current financial year, Chandigarh Municipal Commissioner Amit Kumar has urged residents to pay property tax within the stipulated time to avail rebate benefits.
Chandigarh, April 23: The rebate is applicable till May 31.

Residential property owners: 20% rebate

Commercial property owners: 10% discount
After May 31
Residents will have to pay penalty as well as interest.
Purpose of Tax Collection
The tax amount is a major source of revenue for the municipal corporation and will be utilised for essential civic services such as:
