UPSIDA Approves 8 Warehousing & Logistics Projects Worth 800 Crore Across Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow, March 24: The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has approved eight new warehousing and logistics projects with a combined investment of approximately 800 crore, an official spokesperson announced on Monday.

The approvals were granted under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022. The newly cleared projects include:

  • Five silos

  • Two warehousing units

  • One logistics project

These will be developed across eight districts: Unnao, Auraiya, Balrampur, Shravasti, Sultanpur, Lucknow, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Hapur.

Officials stated that the move reflects growing investor confidence in the sector, driven by incentives, financial assistance, and tax exemptions offered under the policy. The projects aim to strengthen the state's agricultural and industrial supply chain by improving safe storage capacity for foodgrains and providing better logistics support to farmers.

With this approval, UPSIDA has now cleared a total of 61 projects under the Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022 and the PIP policy, involving proposed investments of over 12,900 crore across approximately 810 acres. These initiatives are expected to accelerate the development of multi-modal logistics hubs, warehouse clusters, and modern distribution centres, while also creating substantial employment opportunities.
