Karnataka to Develop Private-Style Layouts for SC/ST Communities Under New Scheme
The state government has introduced the 'Buddha, Basava, Ambedkar Site Allotment Scheme' to develop residential layouts on par with private developments for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
Belagavi, April 15: Under the scheme, fully serviced layouts with complete infrastructure will be created and residential sites allotted to SC/ST people across the state.

Background
Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi explained that for about 20 years, sites have been allotted to SC/ST communities, but the necessary infrastructure was not provided. This scheme addresses that gap.
