Over 45,000 Nashik Properties in Use Without Building Completion Documents
At least 45,700 unauthorised residential properties in Nashik city continue to remain in use despite owners failing to obtain building completion certificates and occupancy certificates from the town planning department of the Nashik Municipal Corporation.
Nashik, April 15: Despite the lack of mandatory clearances, these properties are being occupied by residents. "The civic body's property tax department has now levied property tax on all such properties," a civic official said.

Background
The NMC conducted a comprehensive survey of properties across the city around four years ago, identifying around 57,000 properties that were brought under the property tax net. A majority of these were found to be in use without BCCs and OCs.
