Noida: YEIDA to Launch 8,000 Residential Plots for Workers, New Housing Scheme in Sector 5

Greater Noida, March 31: The Yamuna Expressway Authority (YEIDA) is planning to launch a residential plot scheme for the working class, featuring approximately 8,000 plots of 40 square meters. Alongside this, the authority has also begun preparations for a residential plot scheme in Sector 5.
New allotment rates will come into effect from April 1. In the first week of April, YEIDA will launch a scheme for 973 plots that has been pending for several months due to RERA registration delays.
Budget and Revenue Focus
YEIDA has proposed a budget of ₹11,000 crore for the upcoming financial year. The authority is placing maximum emphasis on plot schemes for revenue generation, particularly in the residential category.
Residential schemes attract lakhs of applications from buyers. The option of lump sum payment allows the authority to collect crores of rupees in a single go, making these schemes a key revenue source.
Working Class Plot Scheme
Despite receiving board approval for the working class plot scheme, YEIDA has not yet launched it. The scheme aims to allocate approximately 8,000 plots of 40 square meters to workers.
A new residential and society plot scheme may also be launched in Sector 5.
Pending Scheme to Launch in April
The residential plot scheme in Sector 15C had been stuck for several months. First, there were delays in obtaining RERA registration, and then the scheme was postponed to the new financial year due to revised allotment rates.
A 3.5 per cent rate hike has been applied to the residential category. After the new rates come into effect on April 1, this scheme will be launched in the first week of April.
Official Statement
Rakesh Kumar Singh, CEO of YEIDA, stated that the framework for the new plot scheme is being prepared. The scheme, which has already been registered with RERA, will be launched soon.
