NBCC Signs ₹775 Crore MoUs with DDA for Redevelopment of Staff Quarters at Old Rajinder Nagar and Safdarjung, Marking First Collaboration of Its Kind

New Delhi, February 27, 2026: NBCC (India) Limited has signed Memorandums of Understanding with the Delhi Development Authority for the comprehensive redevelopment of DDA staff quarters at two prime locations in New Delhi, marking its first redevelopment initiative with DDA .
Project Details
The first project involves the comprehensive redevelopment of DDA Staff Quarters at Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, valued at approximately ₹437.79 crore (excluding GST). The second project is for the redevelopment of DDA Staff Quarters at Safdarjung Development Area, New Delhi, valued at approximately ₹337.48 crore (excluding GST). The combined value of both orders stands at ₹775.27 crore (excluding GST). The approximate project values exclude the marketing fee, which will be determined at a later stage .
Self-Sustainable Redevelopment Model
DDA, being desirous of redeveloping its old and dilapidated staff quarters at both locations, has signed the MoUs with NBCC for the execution of these works. The projects will follow a self-sustainable model wherein a certain portion of the developed built-up area would be sold, and the funds generated would be utilized for the development of the project, while the remaining BUA, as decided by DDA, would be handed over to them for their staff use .
Currently, 117 dwelling units in Old Rajinder Nagar and 152 dwelling units in Safdarjung Development Area are being used by DDA as staff quarters .
Project Scale
As envisaged, the total built-up area to be developed shall be approximately 99,635 square meters (excluding external development) in Old Rajinder Nagar and approximately 65,925 square meters (excluding external development) in Safdarjung Development Area. The envisaged BUA is tentative and shall be approved by DDA after a detailed survey and submission of the Detailed Project Report .
Sustainable Urban Transformation
The redevelopment initiative aims to drive sustainable urban transformation in Delhi by replacing old and dilapidated structures with modern, well-planned residential complexes that meet contemporary living standards while optimizing land use through the self-sustainable model .
