Haryana Government Sets June 30 Deadline for Owners to Join Online Land Sale Scheme

Gurugram, May 8: Haryana government has set a June 30, 2026 deadline for landowners to join the e-Bhoomi initiative for urban development. This voluntary drive aims to procure 1.7 lakh acres across 71 towns, with 47,000 acres targeted in the first phase.

Scale of Land Procurement

According to HSVP, the programme has identified 1.7 lakh acres across 71 towns, making it one of the state's largest voluntary land procurement drives. In the first phase, the government is in the process of purchasing nearly 47,000 acres. Land parcels have been categorised based on town-specific and project requirements, with each district's potential zones uploaded on the e-Bhoomi portal.

Transparent Digital Mechanism

"The scheme aims at creating transparent, digital and time-bound mechanisms for land purchase, ensuring direct payment to landowners and eliminating procedural delays," said a senior HSVP officer. The portal ensures complete transparency - right from uploading land details to final approval - and urged landowners to use the digital interface rather than approaching intermediaries.

Gurgaon Expansion Plans

In Gurgaon, HSVP has identified multiple high-growth corridors for future expansion. Key clusters include Southern Peripheral Road (sectors 76-80), Dwarka Expressway belt (sectors 99A-104), New Gurgaon along NH8 (sectors 82A-86) and Pataudi-Farrukhnagar stretch. Together, these regions will require around 24,000 acres for phased development. In the first phase, around 17,358 acres across 51 sectors are expected to be procured.

Objective and Deadline

HSVP plans to procure land to launch new sectors, as Gurgaon has not seen any new sector launches in the last 20 years. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini earlier approved land procurement under e-Bhoomi scheme where draft and final development plans have been published. Officials said those willing to sell should complete consent and document submission well before the June 30 deadline.
