Haryana RERA's Gurugram Bench Clears All Pending Cases Till 2024, Disposes 2,100+ Complaints

The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Gurugram bench has disposed of all pending complaints filed up to 2024, clearing a backlog of over 2,100 cases.

Gurugram, April 8: A total of 2,174 cases were pending as of March 31, 2025, including complaints dating back to 2018. These have now been adjudicated, leaving only cases filed in 2025 and thereafter for consideration.

Breakdown of Pending Cases (as of March 31, 2025)

  • 2024: 1,060 cases

  • 2023: 654 cases

  • 2022: 333 cases

  • Earlier years: Smaller numbers (dating back to 2018)

Performance in 2025

During calendar year 2025, the authority disposed of 5,024 complaints, granting relief such as:

  • Refunds

  • Delayed possession compensation (based on case merits)

Future Target

The regulator aims to reduce the average time for case disposal from the current 12-15 months to 6-9 months.

Overall Disposal Rate

According to data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, HRERA Gurugram has disposed of about 93.6 per cent of the 17,893 complaints registered so far – among the highest disposal rates across states.
