Bengaluru, May 1, 2026: The Karnataka government has approved a massive ₹18,000 crore integrated suburban township project in Greater Bengaluru, aimed at creating a modern ‘work-live-play’ ecosystem.

Massive Township Spread Across 7,481 Acres

The project will cover 7,481 acres in Bengaluru South district, including key areas like Bidadi and Ramanagara, with around 6,650 acres to be acquired from private landowners.

Funding Structure Finalised

The project will be financed through a mix of sources:

₹7,500 crore loan from HUDCO (state-backed guarantee)
• Remaining funds via Bangalore Development Authority (BDA)
• Monetisation of CA sites under BMRDA

Attractive Compensation for Landowners

To facilitate land acquisition, the government has approved:

₹2 crore+ per acre compensation, or
9,693 sq ft developed land per acre as an alternative

‘Work-Live-Play’ Urban Model

The township will feature:

• Residential zones
• Commercial hubs
• Social infrastructure & amenities
• Integrated urban planning for sustainable living
