Belagavi, April 24: The proposal has been moved to the government. Public notification will be issued once the project is approved.

Project Details

  • Location: Honnihal village (~18 km from Belagavi)

  • Land area: 92 acres + 7 gunta

  • Survey Nos: 43/1 to 43/6

  • Last KHB residential layout in Belagavi: Devaraj Urs Colony at Basavan Kudachi (almost a decade ago)

Land Acquisition & Compensation

  • Affected landowners will receive compensation, rehabilitation, and resettlement benefits as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013

  • Acquisition process will be carried out transparently and in compliance with legal provisions, including Section 11(1) of the 2013 Act

Timeline

  • After government approval: 5-6 months for public notification inviting objections and suggestions from stakeholders

The new project is aimed at addressing the city's growing housing demand, providing affordable housing, and improving infrastructure for the public.
