Over 140 to Get 50 Lakh House Repair Aid in Ludhiana's Ward 72 Under Rangla Punjab Scheme
The state government will provide financial assistance to 144 beneficiaries from weaker sections to repair their homes under the Rangla Punjab scheme. Each recipient will receive 35,000, totalling an expenditure of 50.4 lakh.

Ludhiana, April 27: Beneficiaries are primarily from the Jawahar Nagar camp area in Ward 72.
Verified Conditions
The proposal was approved after officials verified the poor condition of houses. Beyond damaged roofs, inspectors found several homes also had broken floors and door frames.
Broader Initiative
Under the Rangla Punjab initiative, six urban MLAs have each received 2.5 crore for development works. These funds are being used for various projects, including:

Payment Status
Sham Lal Gupta, Superintending Engineer with the building and road branch, confirmed that the civic body has already collected bank details and photo IDs to facilitate prompt payments.
