Chhattisgarh: Property Registration Becomes Cheaper as 0.60% Cess Abolished from April 28

Raipur, April 27: The bill was passed in the assembly in March 2026 and received the Governor's assent. Software is being updated to provide the benefit for registrations from Tuesday.
Benefit for Buyers
A person registering a property worth ₹1 crore will now get a direct benefit of approximately ₹60,000.
Women's Concession
The government is also halving the registration fee for women:

Government's Objective
Commerce Tax Minister OP Choudhary said the government's aim is not only revenue collection but also to make the home buying process simpler and cheaper for the middle class. These cuts are expected to boost the state's real estate sector.
