Delhi Police Verifies 12,860 Tenants So Far This Year, Registers 896 Cases

New Delhi, April 27: According to police data, a total of 27,497 tenant verification forms were filled in 2025, averaging around 2,291 forms per month. During the same year, 5,378 cases were registered against people flouting tenant verification norms.

How to Verify
Online: Visit Delhi Police website → citizen services → tenant registration → create account → fill details → submit
Offline: Collect form from local police station or download from website → submit completed form with ID copies at police station
Official Statement
Special Commissioner of Police Devesh Chandra Srivastva said: "Tenant verification is a mandatory legal requirement and a crucial component of preventive policing. It helps the police maintain updated records of people residing in different parts of the city, particularly those living on rent or in temporary accommodation."
