Greater Agra Township: CM Yogi Directs Construction of Houses Along with Plots; Facilities Like Big Townships

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone and performed Bhoomi Pujan for ADA's long-awaited Greater Agra Township in Raipur-Rahnakalan. He directed ADA officials to also construct houses along with plots.

Agra, April 8: The Chief Minister directed that in the future, houses for EWS (Economically Weaker Section) and LIG (Lower Income Group) categories should also be constructed in group housing plots within Greater Agra.

Project Overview

  • Total land: 449.65 hectares

  • Total plots: 4,712

  • Townships: 10 (named after rivers)

  • Connectivity: 45m and 30m wide roads

Key Facilities in the Township

  • Yamunapuram: Fully commercial

  • Kaveripuram: Recreational area

  • Community centres, health centres, police posts: In all townships except Kaveripuram

  • Primary schools: One each in all townships except Yamunapuram and Kaveripuram (Gangapuram will have two)

  • Green corridor: 3.5 km long with cycle tracks, footpaths, and recreational facilities

  • Utility ducts: To avoid repeated digging for electricity cables, water pipelines, and broadband connections

  • STP, WTP, Solid Waste Management Plant: In each township

Group Housing

ADA Vice Chairman M. Arunmoli informed that there are 39 group housing plots in the scheme, where EWS and LIG houses will also be constructed in Greater Agra.

CM's Directive

While reviewing the 3D model of the township, the Chief Minister inquired about plots and area. When informed about 4,712 plots, he directed ADA officials to also plan for house construction along with plots in the future.
