Lucknow, April 10: The decision was reviewed at a meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant at the LDA headquarters.

Scheme Overview

  • Scheme name: Varun Vihar

  • Launch timeline: June 2026

  • First phase plots: Approximately 2,100 (Kailash and Kashi blocks)

  • Total development area: 2,270 hectares

  • Location: Along the Agra expressway

  • Land source: Villages in Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils (procured through mutual consent)

  • Consent received: ~853 hectares

Registration

LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar said that online registration for the plots will begin after the formal launch.

Pant asked officials to examine the feasibility of using the land for housing and civic infrastructure.
