Haryana Government Amends Affordable Housing Policy, New Rates and Parking Rules for Gurugram

Gurugram, April 9: The amendments will impact both homebuyers and builders.
Key Changes
Mandatory Parking

One compulsory parking per flat (approximately 10% of flat cost as charge)

Additional parking spaces can be used as visitor parking or two-wheeler parking

All parking slots must be clearly marked at the time of building plan approval
For Projects with Existing Approvals

If licenses and maps are already approved but parking provision is missing, builders must obtain consent from at least two-thirds of allottees for changes

Not applicable for projects that have already received Occupancy Certificate (OC)

Balcony Charges

Provision for Applicants

For schemes where applications have already been invited, additional amount will be charged as per new rates

If an applicant does not wish to participate in the draw at new rates, their deposit will be refunded without deduction
