The Kanpur Development Authority, in its board meeting held here on Friday, decided to reduce the cost of 5,600 unsold flats raised under various schemes. The flats will now be sold at 2018 rates.

Kanpur, April 25: The board members also passed a ₹25.15 billion budget and decided to undertake development work at the cost of ₹1,291 crore in the current financial year, raising the budget by 70% (from ₹640 crore last year).

Price Reduction

  • Flats unsold: 5,600 (across 10 schemes)

  • Discount range: 4.60% to 23.19%

  • New price range: ₹8.86 lakh to ₹28.50 lakh

  • Possession terms: 20% cost (EWS flats), 25% cost (other schemes)

  • Expected revenue: ₹1,400 crore

New Infrastructure Projects

  • Bus stand: Jawaharpuram (to connect Shatabdi Nagar)

  • Super-speciality hospital: Macrobert Ganj

Land Dispute Settlement

A dispute between KDA and Kanpur Municipal Corporation over land at Ghantaghar in Swarup Nagar was settled. KMC will raise a women's market with two basement and four-story buildings (₹190 crore) and will share 15% of income with KDA.
