Prayagraj: 700 Allottees Await Possession for 20 Years, PDA Plans to Sell New Plots

Prayagraj, April 9: Allottees are being forced to run from pillar to post at PDA offices, but their trust in the authority is eroding.
Affected Residential Schemes
Allottees are awaiting possession in the following schemes:
-
Kalindipuram
-
Peepal Gaon
-
Neem Sarai
-
Dev Prayag Jhalwa
-
Ganga Darshan
-
Shantipuram
Total affected allottees: Approximately 700
Applications filed for plot possession: 172
Allottees' Complaints
Allottees including Manoj Srivastava, Rano Singh, Rashit Lal, and Deependra Mishra said they have complained multiple times to the PDA Vice Chairman and the Divisional Commissioner, but no action has been taken. Complaints have also been filed on the Chief Minister's Portal, but without any response.
Instead of providing plots, PDA is only giving assurances.
PDA's Response
Rishiraj, PDA Vice Chairman, said: "Efforts are being made to ensure that those who purchased land in PDA's residential schemes get possession. Action will soon be taken against illegal occupants in residential schemes, and the process of giving possession to allottees as per rules will be initiated."
New Plot Sale
Meanwhile, PDA is preparing to issue an advertisement soon for the sale of 150 plots in various residential schemes.
